Software Developer – Enterprise Data Group

Location                 Montreal, Quebec, Canada    

Position Description  

The Company’s Enterprise Data Group (EDG) leads the financial industry in the field of Enterprise Data Management (EDM). EDG is responsible for creating and maintaining solutions to manage reference data on behalf of the Firm. In addition to providing enterprise-wide data and services via stable, resilient, and scalable platforms the group is focused on reducing the Firm’s risk by integrating these applications to the Front, Middle and Back Office functions of the Firm.

The opportunity is for a software developer join the EDG team. This individual will play a vital role in developing, maintaining and supporting databases that store reference data that is used by the vast majority of the firm. This role will work with the peers in IT and Operations to define solutions that ensure data is complete, timely, accurate and suitable to meet the functional needs of the Business.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support of ETL processes

• Improve stability

• Improve data quality

• Resolve production issues

• Perform turnovers

MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:  

•emonstrated capability of working in a dynamic, multitasking environment

• Proven ability to work autonomously

• Proficient with SQL, Unix Shell, Perl, and Java

• Proficient at performing data analysis

• Excellent understanding of data management

• Excellent understanding of SDLC. In depth knowledge of one or more development methodologies.

• Experience with implementing and operating software control management, automated build management and automated testing

• Competent in data modeling

• Technical writing

Experience :

• Degree in Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or similar area of study

• 5 years experience as an applications developer within the Financial Service Industry

• 5 years experience developing applications in a Unix, Sybase, Java and Perl environment

• 2-5 years working in a data management concentric environment

Location:   Mechanicsburg, PA (Harrisburg area), USA

We are looking for an Area Human Resources Director to ensure consistent implementation and execution of the Human Resources strategy throughout the assigned region.  Must have Supply Chain/Logistics experience.

 This role partners with the Vice President of Human Resources in contributing to the design and effective implementation of key HR strategies and tactics across 30+ sites with 2,500+ associates in 7 states

The role is also a key business partner to the Regional Operations Leadership Team in identifying and effectively addressing Human Resources implications for anything and everything that occurs within the business.

The role will have several direct reports spread out throughout the Region helping to achieve the following key accountabilities:

  • Leading the design and communication of Associate Relations programs and processes
  • Implementing Change Management projects and leading large-scale Organization Design efforts
  • Applying Compensation and Benefits policies consistently and equitably
  • Leading consistent implementation of Recruiting and Succession Planning standards
  • Championing the Performance Management process to ensure effective line ownership and implementation
  • Ensuring the implementation of Learning and Development activities and monitoring effectiveness
  • Transferring HR knowledge and capabilities to Operations Management as required
  • Taking an active role in Labor Relations and Labor Strategy

We are seeking design engineers with good fundamental engineering analysis skills and a good hands-on manufacturing background.

Typical duties may include:

  • developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs of compressor components; responsibility for design configuration;
  • cost, weight, and producibility requirements;
  • participating on or leading multidisciplinary
  • product teams to develop and produce new hardware or to improve existing hardware;
  • supporting design reviews and provide technical support to field issues.
  • Significant interaction with internal and external customers is expected;
  • good communication skills and assertiveness are key qualities to possess.

Education:

Masters Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Machine design, strength work, and structural methods course work is desired 

MUST HAVE:  7+ years of experience in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or

Manufacturing related to design, development or repair of gas turbine engine hardware.

Candidates with hands-on experience in Construction, Assembly, or Manufacturing processes are strongly encouraged to apply.

Computer skills:

Proficiency in 3D solid modeling. Highly capable with Unigraphics a plus.

Some positions may require candidates hold or be capable of holding US government

Supply Chain Analyst – Network Design

Position Purpose

The Supply Chain Analyst – Network Design provides analyst support for the design of future state distribution network.  The Business Analyst will perform key modeling and analytics to support network design, warehouse design and channel design. The successful candidate must have a complete understanding of the design of new warehouse, warehouse expansion and warehouse renovations.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

 Data extraction and analysis related to the design of new warehouses and distribution networks

  • Solicit feedback from internal stakeholder group to identify key information and decision making criteria
  • Develop and analyze various network models to determine channel selection criteria
  • Support design of new warehouses, warehouse channels through productivity analytics
  • Support various strategic and tactical projects, ensuring project deliverables are met
  • Establish and maintain communication channels with team members, management, appropriate business unit/s etc.
  • Prepare and present project details/updates when necessary
  • Ad-hoc projects/assignments as required
  • 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations
  • Bachelor of Engineer or another business related degree. Post-secondary education in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or related field
  • Previous experience with logistics design analysis, distribution network, facility design and exposure to continuous process improvement initiatives are a definite asset
  • Strong PC Windows skills, including spreadsheets, database and graphics, with the ability to manipulate data, construct graphical reports, flowcharts and statistics etc.
  • Ability to create and manipulate CAD drawings in AutoCAD
  • Good communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced multi-project environment with the ability to re-prioritize effectively when necessary
  • Must be able to deal effectively with all levels of management
  • Must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Ability to think through a problem and determine the appropriate solution based upon logic and common sense
  • Bilingualism (English/French) advantageous
  • Access to a vehicle is required
  • Must be willing and be able to travel when required
